When India's biggest cities are struggling, can you imagine what's happening in its most remote communities?
ALM EMERGENCY COVID-19 RELIEF
The COVID-19 crisis led to widespread starvation, unemployment, and panic across Adivasi and tribal regions. Families led by women, people with disabilities, and the elderly in remote villages faced severe hardships. At the same time, dangerous rumors and misinformation about vaccines spread rapidly through WhatsApp and word of mouth, making it harder to fight the pandemic.
Adivasi Lives Matter (ALM) responded with an urgent campaign focused on relief, health awareness, and combating vaccine misinformation — in the languages and voices of the communities themselves.
